Update
July 18, 2008
As you all know, Avatar: The Last Airbender is airing its series finale tomorrow. I've gotten many submissions in the past year (yes, it's been that long since I truly updated, I am so sorry) and they will all go up tomorrow.
Now, if you will all allow me to be a sap for a moment, I would like to take this moment to thank you all. Thank you all so much. I've been a less-than-perfect maintainer this past year, and while for a while it made me cringe, this site has meant so much to me. So much, I can't fully explain it. While it's not what it was when it started, this site still means everything to me; through this site I grew comfortable in fandom, I gained great friends and so much more.
So thank you all for giving me this experience. It's been a bumpy road, but I hope it was an enjoyable journey nonetheless.

Hello. Whomever here. I think it's time that I get over myself and admit that I need help. While I was perfecting the art of emobending, my host, dot5hosting, changed their platform. And honestly, I'm a bit lost on some parts.
• Does anyone use dot5hosting, and if you do, could you help me out with a few things?
Also. I am indecisive. For a while now I've been wanting to add in polls, asking for your feedback, but I don't know how to do thm.
• Can anyone help me with adding polls to the site?
And I'm aware I should let this go, I'm going to be contacting a friend and asking about theirs, but still.
• Does anyone have a back up copy of the old guestbook?
That said, I promise that the next update will have all new content. A new layout, at least three more MiSTs, so many DNS fics, the works.

After my short explanation of why I took this site down, you all probably deserve a good explanation of why I'm bring the site back.
...but you're not going to get one, because there is no good reason why I took the site down. It was a rash decision that I've regretted every day since I made it. The more I thought about it, the stupider it was, and I'm tired of it.
Tomorrow is Christmas, and it's a happy holiday I celebrate it with my family, and I don't want to spend it unhappy with myself.
So I put the site back up.
(And this I will not regret.)
A real update will be up soon, once I get everything collected.
-
Also, I'd like to take a moment to thank one of my friends; when the site when down, he wasn't angry, he wasn't critical. When complaining about how I thought I had a name, he only said one thing in reply:
"It just means you'll have to keep updating, make a name for yourself."
That sentence is what inspired me, what made me want to start up this site again.
So thank you.
I promise you, and I promise you all that I will try my hardest to make this site the best it can be.

Well, I finally made one of my deadlines: "I will update before I go to Comic Con."
And look, 10 hours before my flight, I have updated.
I'm not gonna list everything that's changed, you can go about and discover on your own.
Some of the highlights:
- we have eight new MiSTs
- Detours has finally been completed.
- the FAQ has been updated
- I've created a new way for you to get the Forbidden Files.
- although Firebender.net has been taken down, I have kept the button at the bottom, because it was a beautiful site, and it deserves to be remembered.
And if you're one of the more observant readers, you may notice that some links and/or names from the credits of the newer MiSTs may be missing. What can I say? Fics get taken down over time, links are lost, things aren't recorded, but I'm not going to let my problems get in the way of putting up good MiSTs.
As well, I'd like to take this time to say thank you so much to those who have helped me. To the few of those who kept me inspired to do this, who kept my spirits up, you know who you are, but you don't know how much it means it to me. Thank you.
That said, hope you enjoy yourselves, because I'll be enjoying myself in San Diego.

Update is in progress.
Give me a day at most and there'll be an update.
And if there isn't an update by Thursday, please stone me.
February-
Lately I've been trying to get my ass back into gear working on this site again. Since the guestbook being back at the freewebs site was getting on my nerves, so I was trying to adapt the code to this site. And somehow, I managed to wipe out every entry to the guestbook.
I loved the guestbook. I would check back on it when I needed inspiration to start working again, and cherished every entry.
If by any chance you happened to save any of the guestbook, please, for the love of Agni/Tui/La/[insert deity], email it to me.
I'm not going to say that I won't update until I get back every entry, seeing as I have serious doubts that anyone saved any of it, but getting it back would certainly be a good kick in the ass to get back to work. Please, anything would help.
Hiatus'd
December 29, 2006
There's really nothing to say. Some of you may want to know why, but a) I don't know exactly, and b) do you really care? It's extremely stupid to hiatus the site when I now have to pay for it, but keeping the notion that 'oh, I'll work on the site tomorrow' would be worse. I've had many things sent in, and if I would actually look through them and do what I used to do, then there'd be more than enough for an update. But I can't bring myself to do so. Don't know why, don't know how, but my passion for this site is at an all time low. Can't say I know when the site will be updated again, but I wouldn't bother checking for a long, long time.
Note: November 6, 2006
As you may or may not be aware, November 1 was the one-year anniversary of this site, and as you've probably noticed, there was no update celebrating this milestone (even though I had one planned out). Why? Because this site is run by one person, and said person is participating in NaNoWriMo with Arekisu1 and will be busy for the rest of the month. Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up that this site'll be inactive for the next few weeks. Or however long it takes me to write another 42000 words.
1Hey, don't roll your eyes. I know it may be surprising seeing as what we've done to Detours, but if you give her her own world to write in, Arekisu is a damn good writer. And an even better friend, seeing as she doesn't hold this site against me. But I digress.
October 8, 2006
Hey all, sorry for the delay, it's taken a while to get enough material for an update. And most of my attention have been revolving around the end of "City of Walls and Secrets" instead of the site, but hey, can you blame me?
For the MiSTs, Avatar-Sue's MiST is now up, and we introduce a new MiSTer who gives us Eyes of a Girl - MiSTed.
As well, the Forbidden Files have now been taken down, but remember, just send me an email saying you want to see them and you'll get their key-mashing URL.
In regards to the DNS section, if I haven't added one by next update, I beg for you all to stone me. Not only do I have my main graphic providers, but a few readers have offered their services.
In the extra section we have received a Guide to Writing Fanfiction that is a *must read* for all authors.
And I'd like to thank all you readers for what you've done; in a few days after joining the topsites, you had us up in the top ten. I sometimes feel like this site isn't worthwhile, but seeing that really brought my spirit up. Thank you, I'll try my best not to let you all down.

Hello, and welcome to the new location of Avatard: the Last MiSTer!
I'm so glad to be here, I hope you are too!
So, you may be asking what's so special about this site. Well, the initial response is "Hello! New server!" This is not good to my wallet, but being at my own server allows images, MiSTs and everything between to load faster.
As you might have noticed, the images have been changed around a bit. The Bank Gothic was gettind old, and a grafitti font seems to fit better, or so I think. (And although this site isn't a democracy, feel free to argue.)
And because I know it's the reason you come to the site, let's talk about the MiSTs. First off, the archive summaries that were neglected on the last site have now been added. And while there are no new MiSTs now, look forward to seeing have PreyOfTheDemon's - "How To Help Sue Authors For Flamers" MiSTed courtesy of AvatarSues.
Now, you might remember the section at the bottom of the MiST page, the Forbidden Files, where there's a list of the MiSTs that had to be taken down because the author took the story down. Well, there's now a graphic for it! (Oh yea, and in honor of moving to our own server, I decided that it wouldn't hurt to publically post the Forbidden Files for a week.)
Now for the not as major but still important pages:
First off, Booter has written a note that she asks you read if you've sent anything to her.
The Does Not Suck page has a new addition, as well as the fact that I've gone through and tried to make the images more readable. (Yes, I'm aware that one isn't that many, but what can I say, I like have graphics for the stories and my graphic providers have lives.)
And the Snippets page has been doubled in the number of quotes.
The Guestbook is the one at Freewebs until this host's one makes sense, but it's still a different one, and very much open for signing.
There's not much new in the Extra section, though we've been sent Aang, Katara and Zuko's reaction to bad fiction. Though I've also created a mailing list for the site, so check it out if you're interested.
And I think that's about it. But before you go, if you like the site, please vote for it
!
That said, enjoy the new site, and the hour special "Secret of the Fire Nation" on Nick tomorrow!
